Hani Mitri

Dr. Hani Mitri is professor of Mining Engineering. Since he joined Mining Engineering in 1986, he has established the Mine Design & Numerical Modeling Laboratory and more recently the Rockbolting Laboratory. His research and consulting activities focus on rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering, mine design and materials handling. During his career, he supervised 15 Ph.D. and 16 Master’s students, and has published more than 150 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
