Rock mechanics, mine backfill, boring and drilling equipment R & D

Jacques Ouellet Received a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Geology from Laval University in 1983, followed by a M.A.Sc. from École Polytechnique in 1986. He completed his Ph.D. in Rock Mechanics in 1992 at École Polytechnique. Dr Ouellet has worked at the University of Quebec at Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) from 1989 to 1998. During this term, he filled various administrative responsibilities such as departmental chair. Now, he is currently Associate Professor at McGill University in the Department of Mining, Metals and Materials Engineering. His research centers on mine backfill and is currently conducting R&D projects on drilling equipment with private enterprises.
