"A multiple-objectives approach to address motorized two-wheeled vehicle emissions in Delhi, India"

Professional and research interests

Environmental policy and planning, sustainable urban transport, international planning, environment and development.

Current and proposed research projects

Integrated assessment of large-scale implementation of alternative transport fuel systems (natural gas, electric-hybrids, fuel cells) in Canada and India

Evaluation of policy making and implementation relating to transport air pollution, including an examination of the role of public interest litigation, in India

Exploration of lessons for future decision-making, based on a critical analysis of recent policy failures in Canada, related to the fast ferry project in BC (transport), and Walkerton (water quality) and Kirkland Lake (solid waste management) in Ontario

Motorized two-wheeled vehicle ownership, usage, energy consumption and emissions, and evaluation of prevention and control policies, in Asian LICs

Evaluation of foreign investment and aid in the transport sector in less-industrialized countries

Integrated assessment of the socio-economic, environmental, health, and equity impacts of energy subsidies, and of policies to remove them, in the urban transport and domestic sectors in India
