Prof. Saurabh Mishra has earned his PhD in Marketing from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and has worked as post-doctoral research fellow at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He also has a MS degree in Business from Indiana University, a MA in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, India, and a BA (Honors) in Economics from Sri Ram College of Commerce, India. Prof. Mishra’s primary research interests are in the area of marketing strategy. Specifically, his research focuses on understanding the value of marketing resources and capabilities in enabling firm innovations and competitive advantage. For his research projects Prof. Mishra has received grants from the Marketing Science Institute, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and Indiana University. Further, his research has been published (or is forthcoming) in prestigious academic journals including the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, and the Journal of Operations Management. He has also presented and chaired special sessions at some of the leading academic conferences in North America and Europe including the American Marketing Association, Informs Marketing Science, and European Marketing Academy Conference meetings. In addition to research, Prof. Mishra’s teaching interests lie in the area of marketing strategy, marketing management, and marketing research, and he has taught courses both at the undergraduate and the MBA level. He has published a teaching case study through the Harvard Business School Publishing and has received awards for his teaching. Finally, Prof. Mishra has also worked as a manager in a marketing strategy consulting firm and in this role has consulted with some premier companies in North America.
